Job Summary
Telemetry position. The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to patients with neurological and telemetry-related diagnoses in an acute-care setting. Responsibilities include neurological assessments, telemetry monitoring, management of complex neurological conditions, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week; every other weekend required.
- Required Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse licensure with a compact license in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of nursing experience, including at least 6 months of neurological experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
- Epic charting experience
- Proficiency with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, craniotomy care, cerebrovascular accident care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, neuro stepdown care, pre- and postoperative neurosurgical care, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury care, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury care
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Expected patient ratio is 1:5. The position supports a designated stroke unit and includes care for neurology, neurosurgical, telemetry, stroke, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients. Thanksgiving and New Years holidays may be available off, while additional holiday coverage may be required.
