Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Telemetry. This position provides care on a neurology and telemetry unit for patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. The role requires neuro experience, proficiency with the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), telemetry expertise, and participation in night shifts with every-other-weekend coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, including every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including at least 6 months of neuro experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; electronic health record experience; experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, craniotomy care, cerebrovascular accident care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, neuro stepdown care, pre- and post-neurosurgery care, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, spinal cord injury care, telemetry, and traumatic brain injury care.
- Additional Information: Clinical responsibilities include caring for neurological, neurosurgical, and telemetry patients in a designated stroke unit. Expected patient ratios are approximately 1:5. Weekend coverage is required, and holiday scheduling may apply.
