Telemetry registered nurse (RN) needed for day shift in a healthcare facility. The position involves providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry unit, with a focus on managing cardiac monitoring and related procedures. This role demands flexibility with floating to different units or campuses as needed and requires adherence to clinical protocols and safety procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification. At least 3 years of RN telemetry experience and 6 months of travel RN experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital settings, LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) experience, and trauma level II experience.
  • Float: Float to other units within scope of practice may be required; floating to different campuses or units is anticipated, with notice provided approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start.
  • Additional Information: The position involves managing cardiac telemetry, administering blood products, managing IV drips, interpreting dysrhythmias, and providing advanced patient care including sheaths, ventilator management, and wound care. Travel nurses should be prepared to float first within a union hospital setting and may be float to an additional campus. Completion of labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and submission of verification documents are required for onboarding.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry experience required.
