Job Summary

Telemetry position in Long Beach providing cardiac telemetry care for adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical setting. The role requires strong cardiac telemetry experience, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac drip management, and comprehensive clinical support skills. The position includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and may require floating based on patient census.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Onsite electrocardiogram (EKG) test
  • California nursing license in hand
  • Required cardiac telemetry experience, including telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pacemaker management, cardiac procedures, central line care, blood product administration, intravenous therapy, heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, rapid response and code team participation, chest tube care, continuous bladder irrigation, renal failure management, respiratory support, isolation precautions, wound care, and electronic health record documentation using Epic
• Schedule: Day shifts consist of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage may be required as needed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position serves adult and geriatric patients with an approximate patient ratio of 4:1. Rotation to medical-surgical units and emergency department holds may be required based on census. The role includes collaboration with intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. Required attire is navy blue or solid-color scrubs. Influenza vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions permitted.
