Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nursing position located in California. This role involves providing specialized patient care within telemetry units, with a focus on high-acuity patients including those with pneumonia, end stage renal disease, post cath lab patients, respiratory distress, CHF, and COPD. The position requires flexibility to float between different unit types within the organization, including telemetry, med-surg, and acute care units.
Job Details
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 12/07/2026 and ending 03/08/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of recent TELE experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with drips and chest tubes; travel experience is preferred.
- Responsibilities: Providing patient care for high acuity populations, including managing drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin, reading strip monitors, and responding to emergency situations.
- Additional Information: Nurses will receive orientation specific to each unit. Floating to other units such as telemetry, med-surg, or emergency room may be required to meet staffing needs. Nurses must have a positive attitude, compassion, and experience with drips. Limited resources and high patient acuity require efficient, patient-centered care.
