Job Summary:
Telehealth Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry Night Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a high-volume telemetry unit with complex diagnoses. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the ability to float within the specialty as needed.
Job Details:
- Position Description: Tele RN working night shifts, accepting 36 or 48-hour contracts; scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Responsibilities include managing adult to geriatric patients with various diagnoses in a fast-paced telemetry setting. Floats to lower acuity units and sister facilities may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license in the state of Maryland or a compact license, BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications are mandatory. At least 2 years of related experience, including 5 years of patient ratio experience and experience with Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital or LTAC experience, trauma level I or II experience, and experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring are preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend rotation required, with every other weekend scheduled.
- Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. Certifications such as CPI are required; online CPI certification is accepted. Compliance documents must be completed within five days prior to start date.
