Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Telemetry. This position provides adult telemetry care in an acute-care setting, including cardiac monitoring, cardiac drip management, and pre- and post-procedure care. The role requires collaboration across the service line and participation in every-other-weekend coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications; experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drips, intravenous therapy, and patient ratios of 1:56.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Every-other-weekend coverage is required.
- No on-call requirement.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Experience with adult telemetry patients, congestive heart failure (CHF), dialysis pre- and post-care, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sepsis, and end-of-life or hospice care.
- Cardiac care includes ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) care.
- Required clinical skills include assisting with bedside procedures such as line insertion and thoracentesis.
- The role includes floating within the appropriate service line and scope of practice.
