Registered Nurse - General Observation
Schedule
This is a straight night shift position, working from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required. On-call duties will be assigned per unit needs.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our General Observation Unit. In this role, you will play a critical part in monitoring patient conditions, providing essential nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure high standards of patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and overall health status.
- Administer medications and provide basic care interventions.
- Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort measures.
- Communicate effectively with the medical team regarding patient progress.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, providing initial care and stabilization.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a general medical-surgical unit or similar nursing field.
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks efficiently.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
