This role involves assessing, managing, and documenting patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on oncology and cardiac rhythm analysis.

- Position Description:
RN - TELE at ECU Health Medical Center. This role involves administering chemotherapy, managing continuous infusion medications, pain management, wound vac dressing changes, wound drains, central lines, tracheotomy patients, chest tubes, IV starts, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, and various intravenous drips such as cardiac, insulin, and heparin. The unit primarily serves adult patients with complex medical conditions, requiring collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient education on treatments and procedures. - Required Qualifications:
1 year of experience in telemetry nursing, valid license in North Carolina or a compact state, certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and the ability to read and interpret cardiac strips. - Schedule:
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. - Additional Information:
The unit requires the ability to analyze cardiac rhythms independently, administer chemotherapy, and utilize specific skills including wound care, central line management, and arterial blood draws. All time off must be negotiated prior to confirmation. The schedule includes 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. Work collaboratively with disciplines such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacists. BLS is required upon hire; ACLS should be obtained within one year of employment. The work environment involves managing adult patients with hematologic or oncologic concerns, complex fluid and medication management, and single or multi-system complications.
