Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Telemetry Nurse in Northampton, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with critical or life-threatening conditions, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing hemodynamic statuses, and administering cardiac medications and approved infusions. The Telemetry Nurse may also assist with emergency procedures such as cardioversions and insertion of temporary pacemakers. The position requires interaction with patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations and may involve floating to other units as needed.

Job Details:

Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, at least 1 year of clinical experience in a telemetry setting, and ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations across all adult age groups
Preferred Qualifications: Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Additional Information: The Telemetry Nurse is expected to recognize and respond promptly to cardiac arrhythmias and other patient emergencies, assist with procedures such as cardioversion and pacemaker insertions, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility to float to other units may be required; assistance outside of skillset will be limited to helping hands only.
