Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in the Telemetry specialty is needed for a healthcare organization in the acute care setting. This position involves providing direct patient care on a 29-bed unit that utilizes cardiac monitoring, EKG competency, and groin management. The role requires adherence to specific clinical skills and certifications to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

  • Position Description: Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in an acute care unit managing patients with diverse diagnoses such as renal, gastrointestinal, sepsis, and mental health issues.
  • Required Qualifications: Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, EKG competency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or similar setting. Must have a valid nursing license and be able to provide a Drivers License.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with self-scheduling within a 4-week block. Includes working 3 weekend shifts per schedule period and participating in holiday rotations, including 2 major Winter holidays and 1 major Summer holiday.
  • Additional Information: Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer through the University of Nebraska (UNA), with no more than two attempts, and pass a simulated skills exam on the first day of orientation. Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility and provide a Driver's License with submission. The unit features remote monitor techs, but RNs are required to interpret strips and identify rhythm changes. Float rotation may be required, primarily within the service line.
