Telemetry (TELE) nursing position in a short-term acute care facility situated within a Level II Trauma Center. This role involves working on a dedicated stroke unit with specialized designations, requiring proficiency in neuro assessments, interpretation of the NIH Stroke Scale, and management of post-neurosurgical patients. The position offers a dynamic environment for experienced nurses seeking to provide expert care in a fast-paced setting.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of nursing experience, neuro-specific patient care experience, proficiency with NIH Stroke Scale, certification in ACLS and BLS, and experience with charting in Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuroscience, neuro step-down, neuro ICU, or neurosurgical units.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable with neuro assessments, management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation, and neuro-specific equipment such as chest tubes and Pleur-Evac systems. The assignment includes working during holidays and requires upfront scheduling and RTO requests. Preference for candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
