Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS & ACLS certifications, NIH stroke scale certification, 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience, ability to care for six telemetry patients, proficient in reading telemetry strips, and previous successful travel nursing assignment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with post-cardiac procedures such as PCI, PPM, ICD, or Ablations; proficiency in phlebotomy; experience administering respiratory treatments including inhalers and nebulizers; Foley catheter care; management of cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, Dobutamine).
  • Responsibilities: Provide bedside shift report utilizing AIDET and RN/MD rounding, discharge planning, and patient education, particularly for telemetry and post-catheterization patients.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Travelers are the first to float and may be scheduled to work in the emergency department, telemetry monitoring room, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The position emphasizes team collaboration, effective communication, and the use of advanced medical equipment and protocols.
