Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse in a general adult cardiac unit is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly. This role involves monitoring patient cardiac status, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position requires the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, family-oriented environment at a busy healthcare facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Associate's degree or higher in Nursing, valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, 0 years of experience minimum, located 60 miles or greater from the healthcare provider
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo equipment, Cerner electronic health record system
  • Additional Information: May occasionally be required to float to inpatient care units such as IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units. The unit primarily cares for generalized cardiac patients, including cases involving Chest Pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac procedures including cardiac caths (groin & radial). The unit has a family-oriented culture and accepts nurses wearing any scrub color.
