Job Summary:
This Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse position is based in the healthcare provider's facility within Zone 4, centered around Garden City, KS. The role involves providing patient care across multiple units, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The position offers flexible floating within designated zones, requiring adaptability and comprehensive clinical skills.
Job Details:
- Position: Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Nurse
- Location: Zone 4, centered around Garden City, KS
- Schedule: Dayshift, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; BSN or higher degree preferred; at least 2 years of recent MS-Telemetry experience within the last 3 years; valid license in the state of practice; 0 years of experience minimum
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior neuro experience; experience with Alaris infusion pumps and EPIC electronic health record system
- Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, surgical, and medical conditions. Titration of drips such as Heparin may be required. The RN may be asked to float to any acuity level, including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with unit policies.
- Schedule Information: Shifts are scheduled 4 to 6 weeks in advance; flexibility is required to assist in filling gaps in the permanent schedule.
- Additional Information: Travelers are expected to float within Zone 4, with initial assignments communicated prior to or on the start date. All clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation, even if remotely completed.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a license to submit and be available to start on or before 09/14/2026, with an end date of 12/14/2026.
