Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple unit types including Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical floors, with floating required between units and campuses (up to 9 miles apart)
• Titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, and Dobutamine in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
• Interpret EKGs and monitor patients via centralized telemetry systems; manage patient populations including post-cath lab, post-vascular, CABG, CVA, neuro post-surgical, ortho, oncology, and general MedSurg
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 on Tele units and 1:4 on MedSurg units, collaborating with PCTs, charge nurses, and clinical supervisors
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling requirements and holiday rotation as assigned by unit
• Pass a mandatory dysrhythmia exam (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer) and a pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation prior to beginning assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona (or Compact license)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required for Neuro Telemetry unit placement
• Demonstrated ability to titrate cardiac drips independently
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage telemetry monitoring
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to contract signing and a Simulation Lab on day one of orientation; failure may result in immediate dismissal from assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Cardiovascular Telemetry, Neuro Telemetry, or Medical-Surgical nursing in an acute care setting
• Experience with post-surgical patient populations including orthopedic, oncology, urological, and abdominal surgical cases
• Familiarity with GE monitoring systems and centralized telemetry platforms
• Comfort with high-acuity floating environments and rapid unit transitions mid-shift
