Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry | Travel | West Allis, WI

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Telemetry unit in West Allis, WI. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, providing care to a variety of Med/Surg patient types. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience and be comfortable with floating to different units as needed.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Facility Type: Level IV Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center
  • Shift Details: 3x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend rotation, every other major holiday
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2322 (negotiable)
  • Location: West Allis, WI
  • Charting System: EPIC required
  • Floating: Float to any Med/Surg unit
  • Orientation: 1 shift

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for Med/Surg patient types with varied diagnoses
  • Manage patient ratios of up to 6 patients per nurse, depending on staffing
  • Utilize general Med/Surg skillset, including traches, chest tubes, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and medication gtt management
  • Collaborate with CNAs, techs, and other RNs in the department
  • Participate in telemetry monitoring and rapid response as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications
  • Proficiency with general Med/Surg skills and EPIC EMR

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
