Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with true cardiac unit experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

  • Cardiac and Telemetry unit (not a stepdown unit)
  • Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic EMR used
  • Full-time, 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (state or compact)
  • BLS certification via AHA required
  • ACLS certification via AHA required
  • True cardiac unit experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Administers medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
  • Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Ceil blue scrubs required
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
  • Returning employees or travelers must be separated from any CHRISTUS facility for at least 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment
  • Temp-to-perm conversion is a possibility
