**Join Our Dynamic General Surgery Unit as an RN!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - Experience the thrill of working in an 8th-floor General Surgery unit with a capacity of 44 beds. - Be part of a dedicated team of 75 professionals committed to exceptional patient care. - **Shift Details:** - Full-time night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. - Join a supportive team with excellent staffing ratios: - Day Shift: 1:6 - Night Shift: 1:7 - **Essential Skills:** - **Must Have:** - Telemetry competency. - Ability to manage 6-7 patients effectively. - Experience in urology and bowel care – the key focus areas for our patients. - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with TPN, PCA, wound vacs, tube feeds, PEG tubes, NG tubes, colostomies, and urostomies. - Familiarity with drains, heparin drips, IV antibiotics, and various surgical procedures, including cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and more. - **Ideal Personality Fit:** - Positive, energetic, and engaging attitude! - Strong communication skills with charge nurse, unit secretary, providers, and the CNA team. - **Required Certifications:** - BLS and Telemetry. - **Dress Code:** - Navy blue pants, navy blue or white scrub top, and jacket if needed. - White undershirt allowed; no sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, or coats. - **Work Schedule:** - Commitment to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
