Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU/Tele RN for a float pool position requiring AZ or compact RN licensure and Cerner experience across multiple facilities.

Details

  • Float pool position in a Med/Surg/Telemetry/PCU step-down unit
  • Step-down acuity level from ICU, caring for cardiac drip patients and those with TAVR and WATCHMAN/MitraClip procedures
  • Patient ratio of 6:1
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
  • Must be willing to float between departments and across four facilities: Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
  • Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active AZ or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of start
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
  • Perform patient tests and administer medications within RN scope of practice
  • Promote patient independence through care goal setting and patient/family education
  • Scrubs of any color permitted
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • RTO requests must be less than 1 week
  • Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
