Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry/IMC MedSurg position requiring 2 years of nursing experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the IMC MedSurgical unit of a hospital setting
• General IMC patient population with a wide variety of Neuro, Respiratory, Cardiac, and GI cases
• Care includes patients on triple drips and BiPAP
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• 2 years of nursing experience in a related specialty required
• BSN preferred
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Educate patients and family members on care needs and available resources
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• Returning CHRISTUS employees or travelers must have a 6-month separation from any CHRISTUS Health facility system-wide before being eligible for this assignment
