Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring cardiac cath experience and a compact or PA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (Cardiac) of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• Cardiac geriatric patient population with diagnoses including CP, MI, Open Heart, Watchman, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer
• Patient ratios of RN 1:5 and NA 10-12 (days) or 20-22 (nights)
• Uses pacer alines equipment
• EPIC EHR used
• Must be willing and able to work all shift types including days, nights, and mids
• Weekend rotation every other weekend depending on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Not normally floated, though may float to 1:1 assignments depending on needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) required
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of experience preferred
• Cardiac catheterization experience required
• Pennsylvania clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH State Police Clearance
• Drug screen required within 90 days of start
• No declinations accepted for MMR or TB screening

Additional Information

• Provide RN care within a regional referral hospital offering comprehensive cardiac and critical care services
• Must complete all required PA background clearances and fingerprinting prior to start
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs may be any color; hoodies not permitted and only nose stud piercings allowed
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Candidates with no requested time off are given priority consideration
