• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Unit Setting: Acute care float pool with telemetry and med/surg patient care
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA only
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Strong clinical judgment and confidence caring for acute care patients

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, skilled nursing care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support high-quality patient care
• Float to comparable units as needed within the hospital
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment
• Deliver compassionate care while promoting patient safety and positive outcomes
