Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of cardiac and telemetry experience along with prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Float pool role within an acute care setting requiring floating to other units
• Cardiac, Med Surg and Telemetry patient population
• Average patient ratio of 1:7 (not guaranteed)
• 495-bed facility with at least 30 beds per unit, designated a Level II Trauma Center
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45a-7:15p
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling accommodated

Requirements

• Active RN license, VA State or Compact
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Cardiac experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• No certifications expiring within first 30 days of start
• US SSN required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across cardiac, med surg, and telemetry patients within a float pool structure
• Facility has earned an 'A' grade in Patient Safety for nine consecutive years
• Navy blue scrub color required per facility dress code policy
• May request one holiday off, with no more than two days considered for holiday RTO
• Candidates will be considered at a 50-mile radius instead of the standard 65-mile radius rule
• Candidates must be well qualified with all required experience
• 13-26 week contract with January start dates accepted
