Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN float for a teaching hospital's Tele Float unit, requiring 2 years of experience and MN RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Tele Float unit supporting Telemetry and Med/Surg patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floats within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR

Requirements

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in specialty required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response/code team activation
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Experience with PCA and thrombolytic agents
• Documents required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, certification copies, Nursys verification, and supervisor reference

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must complete pre-start modules prior to assignment start
• Must be gone at least 3 months from last shift if previously worked as perm staff or per diem at the facility
• Ideally no more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Not open to local candidates; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
