Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Process and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Inspect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments
• Maintain quality control and documentation records of the sterilization process
• Distribute designated supplies and equipment throughout the medical center
• Float between decontamination, assembly, and sterilization departments

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician

• CRCST or CBSPD certification
• Experience with SPM Tracking system required
• Minimum 1.5 years of related experience
