This role involves working under limited supervision to assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia. Key Responsibilities of the Anesthesia Technician- Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and clean.
- Operate the cell-saver machine and participate in advanced surgical cases.
- Ensure anesthesia equipment is in working order and perform preventive maintenance.
- Assist in staff training and development under the Chief Anesthesia Technologist.
- Perform comprehensive anesthesia equipment set-up and troubleshooting.
- Set-up operating rooms and provide full service at end of the day.
- Provide back-up support to the shift supervisor as needed.
Requirements of the Anesthesia Technician- BLS certification
- Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician
- Preferred: Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other certifying body
