Description:
Sleep technologists, also known as polysomnographic technologists, work with physicians to evaluate and treat sleep disorders.
They perform sleep studies on patients.
They record clinical data such as brain activity, heart rate, breathing patterns, and blood oxygen levels.
This data is collected while patients sleep.
The information is then used to develop reports that physicians utilize to diagnose and treat disorders such as narcolepsy and sleep apnea.
