Key Responsibilities of the Compounding Technician- Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IVs
- Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription filling and reimbursement
- Assist in prepackaging medication for dispensing as per standards and regulations
- Support the Pharmacist in the final checking of filled prescriptions
- Coordinate the accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers
- Maintain inventory practices including receiving, rotating, and posting lot numbers
- Ensure the workplace is clean and equipment is properly calibrated
Requirements of the Compounding Technician- Experience working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Familiarity with prepackaging medication and dispensing regulations
- Experience in pharmacy billing and inventory management
