This position works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, engaging in prescription filling and IV preparation. Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Technician- Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IVs
- Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system for prescription filling and reimbursement payment
- Assist the Pharmacist in the final checking of filled prescriptions for accuracy and timely delivery
- Maintain good inventory practices, including receiving and rotating medications and supplies, and managing lot numbers and expiration dates
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness
Requirements of the Pharmacy Technician- Experience working under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems
- Ability to maintain inventory standards and governmental regulations
