Job Title: Surg Tech 2 - CMH Surgery

Job Summary:
Provides surgical technology to direct and indirect care and service. Assists surgeons and performs operative/invasive procedures. Serves as a resource to other technologists, trains new technologists and students, and functions as an informal lead technologist role as needed. Mentoring and utilizing the additional education gained through certification will be used to assist peers, perform more efficiently, and raise performance.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Fluent in English (writing, reading, comprehension, and speaking).
• Basic computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in decision-making.

Required Education:
 

• Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology.
• OR Certificate of completion of Surgical Technology program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

• BLS (American Heart Association).
• IDPH Fingerprinting.
