Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position is located at a healthcare facility requiring a highly skilled professional to support cardiac surgical procedures. This role involves assisting the surgical team in a variety of technical duties, including maintaining a sterile environment, preparing equipment, and supporting patient care during procedures. The position is scheduled for dayshift, with a 10-hour shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Job Details

- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); a Washington state license (ETA 6 weeks); 3 years of operating room experience with cardiac surgery; no experience minimum required; location specific experience preferred; must be fully vaccinated; no exemptions for COVID-19 and flu vaccines; must provide two recent references, including a supervisor reference; active Washington license is not required at submission but application must be submitted; start date is 10/12/2026, with end date of 01/11/2027.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience with cardiac procedures and surgeries; experience with aseptic techniques and sterile processing; familiarity with digital imaging and preference systems.
- Additional Information: The role requires assistance with complex cardiac surgeries, including open-heart procedures and specialized equipment handling. Flexibility to float within the system may be necessary, and candidates should be prepared for orientation conducted weekly on Mondays.
