Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in Carmel, IN. This position involves facilitating the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures within a busy surgical unit featuring ten operating rooms. The role requires preparing surgical environments, assisting during procedures, and maintaining sterile techniques to ensure patient safety and procedural success.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 1 month of hire date. Certifications from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubbing robotics, spine, and/or ortho surgeries highly preferred.
- Additional Information: The surgical unit performs a variety of specialties including bariatrics, plastics, robotics, orthopedics, and spine. The candidate may participate in on-call shifts, which could require 2-4 shifts every 6-week schedule period.
