Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position is based in a healthcare facility specializing in Labor and Delivery. This role involves scrubbing on cesarean sections (C/S) and supporting surgical procedures within the labor and delivery setting. The technician will be responsible for preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. The position requires flexibility with a rotating shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or certification or degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • 2 years of scrubbing experience in Labor and Delivery involving cesarean sections (C/S).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Must live 50 miles or more away from the facility.
  • Good communication skills.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have knowledge of surgical procedures, supply and equipment preparation, patient positioning, and room turnaround responsibilities.
  • Experience in assisting with cesarean sections (C/S) is essential.
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and maintain sterile conditions.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule as specified.
