Job Details
- Position: Surgical Technician / Obstetrical Technician (OR, ORT)
- Location: Templeton, California
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: High School Education or GED; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA); Must have EPIC experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Technical Degree; Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification
- Assists in preparation of patient rooms and setup for procedures utilizing aseptic technique; Checks sterile packaging integrity
- Provides surgical support during obstetrics-related surgery; Handles supplies and instruments efficiently
- Participates in operative timeouts and supports nursing staff during deliveries by preparing, positioning, transporting, and discharging patients
- Collects urinalysis specimens and records maternal vital signs, including weight, height, and intake & output measurements
- Performs personal care services and supports activities of daily living for patients
- Assists with patient positioning, transfers, and discharge procedures
- Performs other clinical duties as assigned to support patient care and surgical team operations
