Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPD) in a Level II Trauma Center is needed for a 13-week assignment starting on 09/28/2026, with an option for extension. The role involves working days shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a total of 40 hours per week. The position requires candidates who are self-motivated, team-oriented, and possess supply knowledge, with readiness to float between units if needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 09/28/2026 and ending 12/28/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing, possess CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification, and hold a valid state license (compact license preferred). Candidates must be able to work in EPIC charting system, have supply knowledge, and be comfortable picking cases and working in a teaching department.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma and implants, EPIC charting experience, and familiarity with specialty equipment such as processing sinks and flexi pumps.
  • Additional Information: The department handles around 65 surgical cases daily and processes approximately 1200 trays per day, specializing in neuro, ortho, robotics, pediatrics, and general service lines. Orientation includes three days on day shift with progressively earlier start times, culminating in the technician transitioning to the scheduled shift. Candidates should be prepared for rotating weekends and possible floating to other units or nearby facilities.
