Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic surgical procedures
- Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment required during surgical procedures
- Maintain and monitor the sterile field throughout the operative procedure
- Ensure quality patient care during all phases of the surgical procedure
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Relevant acute care experience
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technologists (NBST) or Association of Surgical Technologists (AST)
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
