    Job Title

    Travel: OR Surgical Technologist – Days (4x10)

    Location

    Springfield, MO | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 4x10 shifts scheduled between 07:00–19:00 | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of the surgeon and the circulating Registered Nurse, consistent with established standards of practice and the Employee Code of Conduct
    • Efficiently set up surgical cases across multiple specialty disciplines, providing equipment and supplies based on patient needs and surgeon preference
    • Demonstrate technical skills related to creating and maintaining a sterile field, performing instrument, sponge, and sharp counts, and assisting other OR staff per patient safety and direct patient care policies
    • Operate and work alongside advanced surgical equipment including the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System
    • Function as a resource person for newly hired Surgical Technicians and students from visiting Surgical Technology programs
    • May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, or days of the week according to patient requirements, including on-call shifts and weekend hours as required by the facility
    Required Qualifications
    • Must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program
    • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting
    • Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
    • Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift; ability to lift and push patients on stretchers as well as equipment and instrument sets
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional high-stress situations and adhere strictly to Universal Precautions
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CORST (Certified Operating Room Surgical Technologist) licensure preferred
    • Level 1 trauma experience with multiple years of OR experience
    • Familiarity with a broad range of surgical procedures, instruments, sets, and equipment
    • Highly motivated, self-starting personality with the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic surgical environment
