    Surgical Scrub Technician – Operating Room

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care and perform unit support activities within the operating room suite
    • Anticipate surgeon and team needs before and during each case, including assistance with dressings and cast application at case conclusion
    • Pick cases according to physician preference cards and update preference cards per established processes
    • Perform and document accurate surgical counts, including instruments, towel clips, and related items, ensuring accountability before patient leaves the room
    • Identify and report exceptions or issues promptly, taking appropriate action to support department objectives and quality of care
    • Participate in teaching and contribute to at least one department task beyond routine responsibilities
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting
    • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
    • Strong OB/GYN procedure experience required
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Ability to comply with all regulatory requirements including mandatory training, TB testing, HIPAA, and compliance standards
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Completion of an approved Operating Room Technician program or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training
    • Scrub Technician certification (CST or equivalent)
