    Key Responsibilities
    • Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and problem-solve in relation to the procedure being performed; verify items on the physician preference card and ensure accurate patient charges
    • Confirm and assemble sterile instruments, equipment, and disposables; ensure all supplies and equipment are in working condition prior to each surgical procedure
    • Maintain and monitor the sterile field, recognize breaks in technique, and uphold sterile environment standards throughout procedures
    • Set up sterile field with instruments in a timely manner and maintain accurate counts of all medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per policy
    • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist in keeping an accurate account of all items on the sterile field
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience required
    • Level II Trauma experience required
    • Proficiency in Orthopedics, Vascular, Neurosurgery, General/GYN, and Urology required
    • Active NBSTSA Certification required
    • Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required
    • Current Skills Checklist pertinent to the Operating Room specialty (within the last year) required
    • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Recent travel assignment experience highly preferred
    • Experience with robotic-assisted surgical technology a plus
    • Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
