Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days | Expected 36 hours/week | Four 9-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Call shifts required
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub into surgical procedures and provide technical assistance to the surgical team in the operating room
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, including setup of instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures and pass instruments and supplies as directed
- Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call rotations, including approximately one weeknight call per week and one weekend every six to seven weeks
- Maintain compliance with all surgical aseptic technique and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting
- Ability to fulfill on-call obligations on weeknights and weekends as scheduled
- Must meet travel contract requirements for assignment eligibility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel contract experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Experience across a variety of surgical specialties
- Ability to adapt quickly to new facility protocols and surgical team preferences
