Scrub all surgical procedures, understanding the special needs, techniques, and requirements of individual surgeons, including specialty surgeries such as sports medicine and trauma without the presence of a sales representative . Minimum of one year of experience in an operating room as a Surgical Technician, or completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
Create and maintain a sterile field; inspect sterile items for contamination before opening.
Anticipate the need for equipment and supplies prior to the start of each case and assure all equipment is functioning before use.
Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.

Assist the RN with completion of operative charges and recording of hardware used during procedures.
Collect specimens and cultures by verifying source and correct tissue identification with the surgeon.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Minimum of one year of experience in an operating room as a Surgical Technician, or completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Surgical Technician certification, or eligibility for certification, preferred.
Experience scrubbing specialty surgeries including sports medicine and trauma independently.
