Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in the delivery of patient care during the intra-operative period, supporting the surgeon throughout surgical procedures
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment in accordance with established standards
• Consistently perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure
• Apply and display aseptic technique throughout all surgical duties to promote positive patient outcomes
• Adhere to professional standards of practice and demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, the metric system, and aseptic technique
• Recognize and respond appropriately during urgent or emergency situations

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of Surgical Technologist experience
• BLS certification required
• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification required
