Contract | Days | 8-Hour Shifts (0630–1500), with occasional possibility of 4x10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team in the operating room during a variety of surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and supplies before, during, and after surgery
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies as directed
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols within the OR setting
- Maintain readiness for ASAP start and adapt to scheduling adjustments as needed
Required Qualifications
- AHA BLS certification required
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred; candidates without certification must have a minimum of 3 years of surgical tech experience
- Certified Surgical Technologists will receive priority consideration
- Must have successfully completed at least 2 prior travel contracts — first-time travelers are not eligible
- Must reside more than 45 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification
- Prior travel contract experience in a surgical or operating room setting
- Ability to adapt to varied shift structures, including extended 10-hour shifts
