Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub technologist duties within a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
- Assist surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures across a 6-OR unit
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
- Accurately document patient care and procedural information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Participate in on-call rotation as required per unit scheduling needs
- Float to other units as needed per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist with CVOR specialty experience
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential — temporary licenses will not be accepted
- Active Texas CST license in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to fulfill call requirements as discussed during the interview process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical procedures in an acute care hospital environment
