Key Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of the physician and RN to coordinate all supplies and instrumentation needed to perform surgical procedures according to established policies and procedures
- Assist in an 11-room operating room complex, supporting a variety of surgical cases
- Responsible for the disposition and decontamination of instruments and supplies in the OR area
- Assist the RN with patient care planning, interventions, and outcomes
- Fulfill call requirements as required by the facility, typically one call shift per pay period and one weekend per month
- Float to other areas as required by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1 (declinations/exceptions must be approved prior to submission)
- Proficiency with Stryker equipment
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CORST (Certified Operating Room Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
- Prior experience in a high-volume or complex OR environment
