Key Responsibilities- Provide surgical technologist support in a general pediatric operating room environment
- Assist surgical teams across an average daily case volume of approximately 6 cases
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments and supplies throughout procedures
- Participate in on-call coverage as required by the unit
- Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as needed - floating is required of all travelers
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience; 18 months preferred per facility compliance guidelines
- NBSTSA certification must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- State license must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted
- SSN and date of birth required at time of submittal
- 2 supervisor references required
- Local candidates (Indiana residents) are welcome and accepted for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a pediatric surgical setting strongly preferred
- Comfort and familiarity with general pediatric surgical cases and patient population
- Experience as a travel surgical technologist is a plus; first-time travelers are accepted
