Contract | Days | On-site | Self-scheduling available | Call required (weeknight call: 3:15 PM–6:45 AM; weekend call: Saturday 7 AM–Monday 7 AM, 48 hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care within a general OR setting handling 20–30 cases per day across 5 suites and 2 procedure rooms
- Support a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry, endoscopy, and ophthalmology
- Collaborate with OR technicians, charge nurses, and house supervisors to ensure safe, efficient surgical workflows
- Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute call response time; holiday call is not expected
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs are provided by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels
- Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local rate adjustment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a high-volume OR environment with diverse surgical case types
- Familiarity with general, orthopedic, gynecological, endoscopic, or ophthalmologic surgical procedures
