Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub and surgical technologist duties within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and properly arranged prior to procedures
- Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular surgical procedures by passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeon
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and sterile technique standards throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to ensure efficient and safe patient care in the OR
Required Qualifications
- Active NBSTSA certification (CST) required — NCCT certification is not accepted in lieu of NBSTSA
- Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience
- Demonstrated experience in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment
- Ability to work 4x10-hour day shifts as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience in a surgical or CVOR setting
- Strong ability to adapt quickly to new facility protocols and surgical teams
