Certified Surgical Tech CVOR
Job Details:
• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required• Work 4 days, 10-hour shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• CVOR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Neurosurgery experience required
• General, Ortho, Plastics, Uro, ENT, and Vascular surgery experience preferred
• Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics highly preferred
• Perform technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
• Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards
• Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique
• Establish and maintain the sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to the physician, and assist as directed
• Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of case
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite and position patients according to type of surgery
• Identify and care for biological specimens
• Use and maintain physician preference cards when pulling cases and setting up the OR
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions and maintain proper traffic control, dress codes, and OR sanitation policies
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only)
